About Fariba Faiz

On the employee side of Ms. Faiz's practice, she assists individual employees with AC21 porting in H-1B and I-140 matters and provides consultations pertaining to termination and lay-offs and immigration consequences of the same for L-1, H-1B, TN, E, and O visa holders. Fariba is known for her holistic approach to immigration matters. Dedicated to providing streamlined and excellent service, she realizes the importance of taking the time to understand the immediate needs, clients' immigration and cultural background, overall long-term goals and case-specific issues, allowing her to give candid advice, providing the client with options and a road map for achieving results.
Fariba Faiz and her network of trusted advisors also provide consultations to potential investors and their agents on matters such as foreign direct investment; EAR and ITAR compliance for US firms, multinationals and start-ups looking to transfer foreign personnel, or technology and services as well as regulations on foreign investments and blocked transactions proscribed by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Ms. Faiz has been a member of the California State Bar since 1998. She is admitted to practice before the United States Federal Court of the Northern District of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit as well as the Supreme Court of California. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and previously served on the American Bar Association's Advisory Group. Ms. Faiz has presented continuing legal education courses for Sterling Education Seminars, Pincus, as well as the San Francisco Bar Association and events organized by groups the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, as well as Innovation Norway, Opinno and similar start-up tech incubators.
