Courtney recognizes that navigating through the Probate & Family Court, the shock of DCF becoming involved with a family, beginning a family through non traditional avenues and the difficult decision to end a marriage or relationship and what is needed to carryon is not intuitive. These situations involve a great deal of emotions that can all too often cloud the ability to act in a person or child's best interest, whether intentional or not.
Courtney works closely with her clients to be at their disposal, to guide them through difficult and trying times in their life, while listening closely to their concerns, fears and desired outcomes,
and provides them advice that is grounded on her many years of practice in the industry and the law.
Courtney practice includes but is not limited to divorce, modifications, contempts, custody and/or child support battles, alimony, removal cases, paternity actions, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, surrogacy and donor agreements, equity complaints to adjudicate parentage, commitment hearings, securing emergency guardianship and conservatorships.
